Articles and blog for first quarter 2010

First Quarter Articles
1 As English spreads Indonesians fear for their language (New York Times)
2 The early bird really does get the worm (Harvard Business Review)
3 His corporate strategy the scientific method (New York Times)
4 Forget what you know about good study habits (New York Times)
5 Weird weather in a warming world (New York Times)
6 The boss is robotic and rolling up behind you (New York Times)
7 Cleaner, Healthier Air (New York Times)
8 Off to College (New York Times)

The article on robots is quite long so it counts as two articles for a total of nine.
Also, the blog needs two story reviews from the first quarter readings, a review of your DVD report, one review of one of the weekend articles we have done, and two posts on either my blog(s) or a classmate's blog. To be considered complete for the project grade, however, you first need to get the blog up and running, link it to the main blog, and add three other gadgets.

Welcome

Dear Literature students,

We have three projects per quarter this year. This first quarter had a DVD project, and you are now working on your research paper. The final project this quarter is to make a blog that you will link this main blog. I will also link your blog to mine here. On your blog, you can post ideas or reactions to stories, poems, articles, or anything from our course. I may also ask you to post things about your projects and things you have read throughout the year. I will check it periodically. Please put something new on your blog every two or three weeks.

Best regards,

Robert Catlin
